| Third Annual family fun day scheduled for Sunday

The Rogers City Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to present family fun day at Lakeside Park this Sunday.
From noon until 6 p.m. there will be free bounce amusements for the kids, free beach balls and pinwheels, Twister Joe the clown, face painting by Jenine LaCross, a Rogers City fire truck on display, the Presque Isle County Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) car and motorcycle and the Kiwanis Fish Shack offering food.
When the children’s activities come to a close a concert sponsored by Presque Isle Electric and Gas Co-op featuring a bluegrass band “Chasin’ Steel” will run from 7-9 p.m. followed by fireworks presented by the Chamber and Carmeuse Lime and Stone at dusk.
Also on display in the park will be the Yamaha Rhino side-by-side all-terrain vehicle, which is the grand prize in the Rogers City Area Chamber of Commerce Nautical City Festival Raffle, which will be drawn for on Sunday, August 9 just prior to the fireworks that wrap up the Nautical City Festival.
Tickets are on sale now for the raffle; nearly 200 have been sold to date and are available at the Chamber office or from any Chamber board member.
Other prizes in the raffle include a digital camera, a laptop computer, $250 cash and a LCD (liquid crystal display) television.
