Kaye Diane McLean

Kaye Diane McLean, 83, of Essexville, formerly of Onaway, our independent, hardworking, beautiful, caring, and most loving mother and grandmother was born into eternal life the morning of Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region.

Kaye was born in Jackson January 25, 1935, the daughter of the late Charles M. and Jacqueline (Gibbons) Kesselring. On May 23, 1959, she was united in marriage to Robert McLean, who preceded her in death in 2007. 

Throughout life, Kaye was known for her love of spending time with her grandchildren and working in her yard. She was a proud democrat and union member; retiring from Walter and May Reuther Family Education Center, where she worked in food service. Kaye was a former parishioner of St. Paul Catholic Church

in Onaway and will be deeply missed, but lovingly remembered for generations to come. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Randy (Cammy) McLean, Russell (Susan) McLean, Colleen (Tom) Greenwood, Robert McLean, Todd McLean, Patricia (Jim) VanHaaren and Kerry Cruse; along with 17 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents and her husband, Kaye was welcomed home to heaven by her son, Darrell McLean; and granddaughter, Lindsey McLean. 

A private graveside ceremony will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery in Onaway at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Final arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Road, Hampton Twp.
