Charles A. Rhode

Charles A. Rhode, 78, of Hawks passed away March 22, 2018 at home.

He was born February 2, 1940 in Sturgis, to Garnet and Agnes (Probst) Rhode. Later that year, they moved to Hawks.

Charles married Kay Freel August 15, 1959.

He is survived by his wife Kay; children, Charles Jr. “Herb” (Carol) Rhode, Susan (David) Trapp and Gary (Laura) Rhode; grandchildren, An

drea (Tim) Wilson, Christopher (Tayler) Rhode, John Rhode, Danielle Rhode, Taylor Rhode, Isaac Rhode, Caleb Rhode, Gavin Rhode, Kristy Fore Trapp and Keven Trapp; a great-grandchild due in April, Reid Dale Rhode; and
a sister, Ruth DeWyre.

He was preceded in death by infant children, David and Mary; parents, Garnet and Agnes; and siblings, Robert, Donna and Patsy.

Visitation was at the Beck Funeral Home Sunday, March 25, where a prayer service took place that evening. Visitation resumed at St. Michael Lutheran Church Monday through time of his funeral with the Rev. Keith Schneider officiating.

Interment will be at the St. Michael Lutheran Cemetery.
