Martha Jean Szala Frost
Martha Jean Szala Frost, 57, of Tunbridge passed March 11, 2018 at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born November 9, 1960 to Ed and Wava Szala, in her hometown of Onaway. Martha was active with the art and music programs and graduated Onaway High School in 1978. She met her husband Scott in 1980. The pair would move to Vermont and were married August 14, 1982 at the Randolph Center Church.
Martha was a lifelong lover of the natural world. She was a second generation florist, and retired after running her own business in Bethel for several years. In addition to her professional life Martha was also a talented artist and kept impressive vegetable and flower gardens.
After retiring, Martha enjoyed family, friends, and various outdoor and volunteer opportunities. She is remembered as a kind and loving soul.
Survivors include her husband, Scott; a son, Jeremy; a daughter, Jamie; and her grandchildren.
As per Martha’s wishes friends and family plan to spread her ashes among the gardens of her home in a celebration of her life later this spring.
