Carol Reed

On Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Carol Reed died of liver failure.

This was after a 31-day hospital stay.  She originally entered the hospital for an experimental heart valve replacement. The original surgery went well but complications arose.

Carol was born May 28, 1943 in Atlantic City, New Jersey to Arnold E. Brege of Ocqueoc, and Mildred Hillis of Williamsville, Missouri.

Carol left behind a husband of 44 years, Larry Reed; and a brother, Gary Brege. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Carol’s current residence was in Bearinger Township.  Carol attended Manderville High School near Flint.

She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Eastern Michigan University.

She then spent 35 years teaching at Milan High School, retiring in 2001.
