Janice E. Klann

Janice E. Klann, 87, of Rogers City went to be with her Lord Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Tendercare in Rogers City.

Janice was born March 17, 1930 in Fowlerville to Hilton and Helen (Cook) Hess.

After graduating from Fowlerville High School and attending Hillsdale College, her love of learning and teaching lead her to teach math in Athens, Greece and Alpena High School. Janice also substituted at Rogers City High School and tutored many students in her home.

Janice was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, golfing, swimming, biking and any outdoor activity. She also loved music and singing. Janice lived to serve the Lord and others, and was active in her church and community. She was a member of the Presque Isle Red Cross, active in the local AFS chapter, served on the Rogers City Hospital board and was a volunteer for Hospice. Janice

was always at her happiest when serving others.

She is survived by Harvey A. Klann, her loving and devoted husband of 61 years; her three children,
Becky (Joel) Carlson of Jenison, Dan (Vicki) Klann of Holt and Janet (Eric) Fenstemaker of Maryville, Tennessee. Janice is also survived by 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hilton and Helen; and a sister, Dorothy (Lauren) Redinger of Beamsville, Ontario, Canada.

Friends may visit at Ocqueoc Baptist Church Friday, September 29, from 10 a.m. until time of her memorial service at 11 a.m.
