Roy Gilbert
Roy Gilbert, 94, of Apex, North Carolina, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, Sunday, June 25, 2017.
Roy was born August 6, 1922 in Onaway to Harry and Etta Gilbert.
He is survived by his daughters, Sandy Compeau (Tom) and Debby White; sister, Viola; along with grandchildren, Jason Klemm (Michelle), Jeremy Klemm, Nathan Moore, Chad Compeau (Jessica) and April Compeau; a granddaughter of the heart, Lisa Bravender (John); great-grandchildren, Serenity, Michael, Kylie, Jacob, Jack, Tyler and Dominic; and many nieces and nephews.
The family received friends Sunday, July 2, at Apex Funeral Home. A memorial service with military honors was held in the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials in Roy’s name be made to the Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund, P.O. Box 33099, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48303-0003.
