Gerald “Jerry” Anthony Krajniak

Gerald “Jerry” Anthony Krajniak, 75, of Posen, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 18, 2017.

Jerry was born September 12, 1941 in Detroit to the late Anthony and Elizabeth (Szymanski) Krajniak. He was a welder for most of his life in Detroit, eventually moving to the Posen area and retiring from Bay Manufacturing in Alpena. After retirement Jerry really enjoyed his time on his farm where he could be found working on his tractors or a number of other things that involved being outdoors.

Gerald is survived by his daughter, Yvonne (Michael) Faupel of Kalamazoo; two

sons, Jerry Kowalski of Ferndale and Corey (Rosemary) Kowalski of Rockwood; six grandchildren, Nathan and Nikki Faupel, Ashley and Zackery Kowalski, and Michael and Robert Priebe; and two sisters, Gloria Scarrow and Shirley (Jay) Gillis. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Lucinda Krajniak; and his sister, Petresia Krajniak.

A memorial visitation was held at St. Casimir Catholic Church Tuesday, May 23, until the time of the memorial Mass with the Rev. Arthur Duchnowicz officiating.

Inurnment followed at the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
