Lawrence J. “Larry” Beach III, 28, of Johannesburg, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2017 while doing what he loved, fishing at Otsego Lake. Born February 9, 1989 in Wayne, he was the son of Lawrence Jr. and Tina Beach.

12, Larry graduated from Romulus High School. Upon graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Army including two tours in Iraq where he received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart Medals. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, shooting, riding his motorcycle and playing on the Team Red, White and Blue volleyball team.

He is survived by his loving parents, Larry and Tina of Millersburg; his brother, Raymond Crabtree of Millersburg; his sister, Christina (Tim) Washburn of Petoskey; and his grandparents, Lawrence Sr. (Anna) Beach of Ocqueoc, Peggy Thornton of Taylor and Carl (Donna) Crabtree of Wayne.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at noon Saturday, May 13, at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service where visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until the time of services.
