Wilma A. Urlaub

Wilma A. Urlaub, 83, of Cheboygan passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at her home. She was born July 6, 1933 in Corbin, Kentucky, the daughter of Robert and Viola (Laws) Anderson.

Wilma had worked as a certified nurse’s assistant at Green Meadows Nursing Home (now Tendercare) and retired after 18 years of service. She was a member of Inland Lighthouse Church of God, her faith being very important to her. She enjoyed gardening, carpentry, quilting, sewing, crocheting and spending time with her family.

ss Jr. of Howell, Denver (Stacey) Urlaub of Healy, Alaska, Mark (Kelly) Urlaub of Indian River, Carl (Lisa) Urlaub of Sparta and Elizabeth (Scott) Pilarski of Hawks; her special daughter-in-law, Laura Urlaub of Cheboygan; one sister, Doris (Clyde) Langford of Kentucky; 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; her former husband, Lowell Urlaub of Hawks; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Tyler Urlaub; three brothers, Willie, Eugene and Lemuel Anderson; and five sisters, Thelma Megalizzia, Fanny Jackson, Nora Evaline Fritz, Florida Wilder and Eudena Piechan.

The funeral service will take place today (Thursday, March 9) at 1 p.m. at the Inland Lighthouse Church of God (3810 M-68, Indian River) with the family greeting friends beginning at 11 a.m. The Rev. Mike Arp will officiate and burial will take place in the spring at Bismarck Township Cemetery in Hawks. Memorial contributions may be directed to the church.
