1017-Peterman

A lifelong resident of northern Michigan, Matt attended Onaway Elementary School and was currently a student at Onaway High School. Quiet and well-mannered, Mathew was a good student and a great kid. He really enjoyed playing trombone in the high school band and had participated in track and field, and basketball.

With a great love for the outdoors, Matt especially enjoyed fishing, turkey hunting and riding snowmobiles. Besides the outdoors, his other passion was for music. He enjoyed listening to rock music and playing guitar.

He loved tractors and was an avid reader. Having wonderful sense of humor, Mathew liked to joke around and loved watching the “Big Bang Theory.” He was a hardworking kid who enjoyed fixing things. Matt’s beautiful smile, his laugh and his quiet way will be sadly missed.

Surviving Mathew are his parents, Walter and Tracey Peterman of Onaway; father, Jacob Peterman of Tower; mother, Natasha French of Tower; stepbrother, Ben Long of Indian River; several half-brothers and half-sisters; grandmother, Wilma Sue Landry of Waterford; grandparents, George and Holly “Jean” French of Tower; great-grandfather, Cecil Peterman of Sault Ste.
