Martha Rose Misiak, 90, of Posen, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017 at home.

Martha was born September 13, 1926 in Posen to Stanley and Rose Wozniak. On September 2, 1946 she married John Misiak Jr. at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Posen where they lived and raised their family.

Her husband of 70 years survives as do their children, Marvin (Barbara) Misiak, Dennis (Julie) Misiak, Marie (Mitchell) Wisniewski, Colleen (Fred) Gryniewicz, Kevin (Johanna) Misiak, Laura (Randy) Idalski and Alletta Misiak. Also their grandchildren, Carmen, Todd, Matthew, Chad, Dustin, Ryan, Melanie, Nicole, Lisa Gregory, Jennifer, Tyler, Shelby, Nicholas and Zachary. Great-grandchildren, Nathan, Brittany, Jeremy, Kaylie, Duncan, Ellie ,Trevor, Meghan, Lauren, Kirsten, Grace, Abraham, Colton, Casimir and Kynsley.

She is also survived by brothers, Stanley (Virginia) Wozniak and R

aymond (Laurie) Wozniak; and sisters, Emily Ratkowiak, Clara Gajsiewicz, Theresa Purol, Gertie Dembny and Blanche Meyers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Philip, Frank and Casimir; sisters, Esther Momrik, Anna Konwinski and Loretta Lewandowski; sisters-in-law Helen Wozniak, Lillian Wozniak and Esther Krajniak; brothers-in-law, Myron Konwinski, Joseph Ratkowiak, Alex Gajsiewicz, John Purol, Edward Dembny, Elmer Lewandowski, John Momrik and Raymond Meyers. Martha’s entire life was dedicated to her family, home and church. She will be remembered for her love for baking and playing cards.

She was a member of the Posen Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and St. Casimir Rosary Sodality. Visitation was Wednesday, February 22, at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Posen. Rosary was at the funeral home followed by the parish service at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume today (Thursday) at St. Casimir Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Arthur Duchnowicz officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery in the spring. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
