Marguerite B. Smolinski

Marguerite B. Smolinski, 94, of Posen passed away February 11, 2017 at Alpena Tendercare.
She was born August 8, 1922 in Onaway to Peter and Laura (LaFave) Beatty. On April 13, 1941 she married Julius Smolinski at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Mrs. Smolinski was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church in Posen.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and helping others.

Mrs. Smolinski is survived by two children, Sharon (Ken) Crull of Utica and Glen (Linda Roznowski) of Posen; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Marvin (Marma) Beatty of Onaway; and a daughter-in-law, Sally Smolinski; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius, March 4, 2000; son, Roger January 4, 2017; four sisters, Dorothy Langlois, Christine Frederick, Betty Mullens and Alma McDonald; and
four brothers, James, Ronald, Peter and Melvin.

A private memorial gathering will take place at the Beck Funeral Home today (Thursday, February 16) beginning at 1 p.m. with a time of remembrance at 2 p.m. Memorials may be given to a charity of your choice.
