Carole Christina “Tick” (Rogers) Richards

Carole Christina “Tick” (Rogers) Richards, 85, of Rogers City, peacefully entered God’s Heavenly Kingdom on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 4, 2016. She was born December 31, 1930, in Onaway, the second of five children to Ralph and Madge (Jackson) Rogers.

Carole is remembered and admired for her unwavering Christian faith and for her dedication and love to her family and friends.

She was a member of Calvary Bible Church in Rogers City. Her love for sewing, quilting, canning and camping was shared with her children and grandchildren. Carole loved her life as a homemaker and having family and friends over to visit. She was a 4-H leader for many years.

Carole is survived by four children, Roger “Fritz” Richards and fiancée Christine Augsburger and Carrie Malloy and her husband, James, all of Rogers City, Morris Richards and wife, Laura, of Conway and Boyd Richards and wife, Susan, of Grawn; 16 grandchildren, Tracy (Bryan) Wilson, Nicole (Will) Fleming, Jacob (Christina) Niedzwiecki, Lacy Niedzwiecki, Amanda (Bryan) Branch, Jessica Muller, Ely (Donna) Morrison III, Erica Richards, J Richards, Heather Richards, William Richards, Ashley Morrison, Jeremy (Kourtney Jo) Hingston, Izek Hartshorn, Samuel Richards, Charlie Richards; 22 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Brooklyn, Trenton, and Boston Wilson, Sydney, Ty, and Chase Fleming, Jayden, Tristen, and Jazelle Niedzwiecki, Janae and Janessa Niedzwiecki, Teagan Branch, Mia and Landon Wa

lker, Wyatt Schwab, Jami Richards, Caleb Karsten, Elise Muller, Lylah, Averi and Mayci Hingston; siblings, Ruth (Ray) Szymoniak, Bert (Elaine) Rogers and Judy Shaloy; and numerous other relatives including cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo; one daughter, Rhoda Jean Niedzwiecki; one sister, Doris Campbell; one grandson, Justin Niedzwiecki; and father and mother-in-law, Morris and Alma Richards.

Visitation was at the Beck Funeral Home Saturday through time of her funeral with the Rev. Jeff Ryan officiating. Interment followed at Memorial Park Cemetery.
