Sister Marilyn (Frances) Furtaw

Sister Marilyn (Frances) Furtaw, 97, went home to the Lord July 1, 2016 at McAuley Center in Farmington Hills.

Sister Marilyn was born August 27, 1918 to Clarence and Anna (Dullack) Furtaw. She is survived by one brother, Richard (Mary) Furtaw of Rogers City;  the Sisters of her Religious Community;  two sisters-in-law, Lois Furtaw of Rogers City and Ethel Furtaw of Windsor, Ontario; nieces, Carol (John) Killey of Bay City, Holly Furtaw of Windsor, Ontario, Mary Chapdelaine of Charlevoix, Kathy Furtaw of Gaylord, Patty Furtaw of Boyne City, and Ann (Joe) Solomon of Charlevoix;  nephews, Byrn (Ann) Furtaw of Windsor, Ontario, Greg (Rachel) MacKenzie of North Port, Florida, Charles Furtaw of Gonzales, California, Larry (Linda) Furtaw of Portage and Mike (Linda) Furtaw of Alpena; many grandnieces and nephews including Emily Chapdelaine and Hannah, Evan and Matthew Solomon all of Charlevoix.

Vigil services and Mass of the Resurrection were held at McAuley Center and burial was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.
