Mary Evelyn Goupell, 98, a lifelong resident of Posen, passed away at home July 19, 2016.

She was born April 5, 1918 in Posen to Peter and Josephine (Wozniak) Przybyla.

Mrs. Goupell is survived by five sons, Dale of Alpena, Dennis (Sally) of Posen, Duane (Vivian) of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Patrick of Posen and Richard (Donna) of Grand Lake; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home in Rogers City Friday from 4 until 8 p.m. where the Posen VFW Auxiliary will lead the Rosary at 6:30 p.m. followed by the parish wake service at 7 p.m.

Visitation will resume Saturday at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Posen from 9 a.m. through time of Mass at 10 a.m. with the Revs. Arthur Duchnowicz and Stan Bereda officiating.

Interment will follow at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to St. Casimir Catholic Church or Hospice of the Sunrise Shore in memory of Mary Goupell
