Julia “Stella” Wright
Julia “Stella” Wright, 99, a resident of Tendercare Health Center in Rogers City, formerly of Millersburg and Onaway, died Thursday evening, July 14, 2016 with her son and daughter-in-law at her bedside. The daughter of Casimir and Barbara (Lisowski) Szymoniak, Stella was born November 21, 1916 in Chicago, Illinois and was raised in Millersburg.
Surviving Stella is her son, Ralph (Debbie) Moore of Onaway; granddaughters, Michelle (Michael) McFalls of Lagrange, Kentucky and Cassie (Derek) Zell of Lyon Township; and great-grandchildren, Charlotte “Charlie” Zell and Christopher McFalls. She also leaves three brothers, Walter and Ed Szymoniak, both of Millersburg and Ray (Ruth) Szymoniak of Onaway; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was at the Chagnon Funeral Home Sunday, July 17, with an evening prayer service. The funeral Mass was at St. Paul Catholic Church in Onaway Monday, July 18, with the Rev. Peter Eke officiating. Stella’s final resting place will be in Millersburg at Riverside Cemetery.
