Elmer E. Plume
Elmer E. Plume, 87, of Grand Lake passed away June 19, 2016 at MidMichigan Medical Center. He was born October 6, 1928 in Belknap Township to Archie and Angeline (Lewandowski) Plume.
Mr. Plume is survived by his wife, Irene; three children, Allan (Cherrie) of Alpena, Katherine (Jeff) Taphouse of Alpena and Susan M. of Grand Lake; four grandchildren, Justin Plume, Sawyer Plume, Hilary (Dave) Gilleand and Sam Taphouse; a great-grandson, Liam Gilleand; two brothers, Melvin (Dale) Plume of Rogers City and Jerry (Andrea) Plume of Alpena; two sisters, Alice (Bill) Altman of Rogers City and Janet (Jim) Bieske of Metz.
Visitation was at the Beck Funeral Home Wednesday from 4 until 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume at St. Ignatius Catholic Church today (Thursday) from 9 a.m. through time of Mass at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Sylvestre Obwaka officiating. Rogers City VFW Post 607 will offer a military tribute following Mass.
Inurnment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Pied Piper Opportunity Center in care of Beck Funeral Home.
