Lawrence D. Karsten

Lawrence D. Karsten, 76, of Moltke Township passed away at home April 27, 2016.
He was born September 23, 1939 in Rogers City to Adolph and Dorothea (Schaedig) Karsten.

Larry is survived by his wife, Deanna; four daughters, Jacqueline (Matthew) Quaine of Rogers City, Dawn (Greg) Heinzel of Rogers City, Robin (Joel) Idalski of Rogers City and Keri Karsten of Maine;10 grandchildren, David (Stephanie Lamas) Quaine, Patrick Quaine, Megan Quaine, Alexa Quaine, Jeremy Karsten, Lacey Karsten, Tyler (Christine) Idalski, Brooklyn Idalski, Autumn Idalski and Braden Idalski; and two great-grandsons, Aiden Quaine and Kade Karsten.

Visitation was at the Beck Funeral Home Saturday with a prayer service that evening. Visitation resumed Sunday at St. John Lutheran Church in Rogers City through time of funeral with the Rev. Eric Voigt officiating. Rogers City Veterans of Foreign Wars offered a military tribute immediately following the church service. Interment took place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Moltke Township.

Memorials may be given to: St. John Lutheran School; St. John Radio Fund; Hospice of Michigan; or Martin Luther Chapel, 444 Abbot Road, East Lansing, Michigan 48832 in memory of Lawrence Karsten.
