Jacob H. Dankers, “Jake,” 75, of Onaway, died at home Monday, April 18, 2016. The son of Harry and Ella (Soule) Dankers, Jacob was born May 29, 1940 in Howell.

Surviving Jake is his wife of more than 56 years, Patricia; son, Jim of Onaway; daughters, Lisa Rybak of Detroit and Tammy Cook of Onaway; grandchildren, Casey, Amanda, Matthew and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Gracie; as well as his brother, Richard “Dick” (Kay) Dankers of Gladwin. Jake was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jerry.

Cremation arrangements were in care of the Chagnon Funeral Home. Jake’s family will honor his memory and celebrate his life with a garden planting gathering early in June.
