Anthony “Scott” Newsted

Anthony “Scott” Newsted, 47, of Griffin, passed away Friday, March 11, 2016 at Brightmoor Hospice. Newsted was born March 18, 1968 in Onaway.

Newsted is survived by his wife, Tammy Flynn Newsted; children, Deyvon Newsted and Brandon Newsted both of Griffin; sisters and brothers, Elisha and Jay Wood of Grand Blanc, Shannon Bryan and Clarissa Bentley both of Onaway, Gary and Stacy Newsted of Griffin and Kevin and Candy Foster of Senoia; mother, Lorna Foster of Davison; stepmother, Arlene Newsted; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Anthony will be held Friday, March 18, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. The Rev. Mick Savage will officiate. Friends may visit the family two hours prior to the service.
