Minutes of the regular meeting of the Rogers City City Council held in council chambers on January 5, 2016.
Mayor Sobeck presided and called the meeting to order at 7 p.m.
PRESENT – Adair, Bielas, McLennan, Nowak, and Sobeck.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Bielas/Nowak, that the minutes of the Regular Council Meeting of December 15, 2015 be approved as written.
ROLL CALL: Ayes – All, the motion carried.
CITY CLERK’S REPORT:
CHECK AND INVOICE APPROVAL:
McLennan/Nowak, that the following total fund expenditures be recognized as payments made and payments to be made, in the amount of $662,808.55 and the Mayor is authorized to sign the check register.
ROLL CALL: Ayes – All, the motion carried.
CITY MANAGER’S REPORT:
AMENDMENT TO COMMUNITY RECREATION PLAN
RESOLUTION NO. 2016-1
Nowak/Adair, to approve the proposed amendment to the Community Recreation Plan as presented, accept public comment period through February 1 and set a Public Hearing on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 7 p.m. to receive comments in regard to the proposed changes to the Community Recreation Plan.
ROLL CALL: Ayes – All, the motion carried.
MAYOR:

Bielas/McLennan, to appoint Council Member Gary Nowak as the Mayor Pro Tem for 2016.

NEW BUSINESS:
COUNCIL MEETING SCHEDULE
RESOLUTION NO. 2016-4
McLennan/Nowak, to approve the 2016 Council Meeting schedule with two changes: Move the Tuesday, February 16 meeting to Monday, February 15 at 9 a.m. and move the Tuesday, November 15 meeting to Tuesday, November 22 at 7 p.m.
ROLL CALL: Ayes – All, the motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT:
Mayor Sobeck declared the meeting adjourned at 7:34 p.m.
