Matilda Emma Augusta Mishler
Matilda Emma Augusta Mishler, 94, of Onaway, died Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Tendercare Health Center in Rogers City. The daughter of Carl and Gertrude (Voss) Wolgast, Matilda was born in Moltke Township June 17, 1921.
Surviving Tilly are her two sons, Stanley (Jeanette) Mishler of Macomb and Allen Mishler of Onaway; daughter, Sandra (Robert) VerDuin of Grand Haven; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; as well as two sisters, Lillian DeCocker of Oscoda and Anna Lietzow of Rogers City. Tilly was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest, in 1981; son, Dennis Mishler in 2009; sisters, Selma Stott, Ella Schaudt and Doris Zimmerman; and brothers, Herman and John Wolgast.
Visitation was held at the Chagnon Funeral Home Sunday February 14. The funeral service was held Monday, February 15, at the Chagnon Funeral Home. The Rev. Josh Ketelsen officiated. Tilly’s final resting place will be at Moltke Township Cemetery.
