Condensed Minutes
December 28, 2015
The regular meeting of the Board of Road Commissioners for Presque Isle County was held at the Road Commission office at 657 South Bradley, Rogers City, Michigan. Chairman Ronald Bischer called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m.
Board Members Present: Ronald Bischer, Thomas Catalano, Charles Rhode
Also Present: Supt/Mgr. Smigelski, Clerk Wirgau

Minutes:
A motion was approved to accept minutes from December 14, 2015 meeting as presented.

Accounts Payable:
Motion by Rhode (Catalano) to approve the December 18, 2015 accounts payable in the amount of $40,620.73
Ayes: Bischer, Catalano, Rhode
Motion by Catalano (Rhode) to approve December 28, 2015 accounts payable in the amount of $18,742.94.
Ayes: Catalano, Rhode, Bischer
Visitors:
A citizen appeared before the Board to discuss maintenance work being done on County Line Highway, Presque Isle Township.
Budget Hearing:
No written or verbal comments were received regarding the proposed 2016 Budget. A motion was approved to adopt the budget as presented.
Supt./Mgr Report:
• Ocqueoc Township has contracted with the Road Commission for placing several inches of gravel on two portions of Ocqueoc Township roads in the spring.
• Pulawski Township has requested an estimate to do improvements to Darga Highway from Leer Road west to the end of the road.
• Safety shutoff controls for all pieces of equipment and trucks are being tested.
• Michigan Department of Transportation will be contacted regarding the removal of trees and brush along a portion of M-68 Highway near Onaway.
• Approximately forty old road name signs have been sold to date, with the proceeds being earmarked for the 100th year centennial open house.

New Business:
A motion was approved adopting provisions of the General Appropriations Act (PA 2 of 1968).
Resolution 2015-10 was adopted accepting changes to the 2015 Certified Mileage Maps.
The re-organizational and first regular meeting of 2016 will be January 4, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. and a regular meeting will be held on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 8:30 a.m.
There being no further business it was moved by Rhode (Catalano) to adjourn the meeting at 10:20 a.m.
