Lawrence S. Veihl
Lawrence S. Veihl, 77, lifelong resident of Tower, died Monday December 7, 2015 at home. The son of Ervin and Anna (Bernia) Veihl, Lawrence was born in Tower April 14, 1938.
Surviving Lawrence is his wife of 56 years, Lois Veihl of Tower; sons, Larry Veihl of El Cajon, California and Ron (Sherri) Veihl of Tower; daughter, Sally (Jerry) Hillis of Tower; and seven grandchildren, Erica, Melissa, and Brandon Veihl, Nicole (Josh) Leonard, Jerry (Yingli) Hillis, Nathan and Steven Hillis; as well as three great-grandchildren, Lilly, Dottie, and Steven. Lawrence also leaves his sisters, Adeline Crowe of Bay City and Mary Arnold of Cheboygan as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service for Lawrence’s family will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Elder Denise Pauly will officiate. The Onaway VFW Post will have military honors at the graveside.
