Condensed Minutes

October 19, 2015

The regular meeting of the Board of Road Commissioners for Presque Isle County was held at the Road Commission office at 657 South Bradley, Rogers City, Michigan. Chairman Ronald Bischer called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m.

Board Members Present: Ronald Bischer, Thomas Catalano, Charles Rhode

Also Present: Supt/Mgr. Smigelski, Clerk Wirgau

Visitors: None

MAP21 Public hearing conducted from 8:50 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.

Minutes:

A motion was approved to accept minutes from October 5, 2015 meeting as presented.

Ayes: All.

Accounts Payable: 

Motion by Catalano (Rhode) to approve the October 19, 2015 accounts payable in the amount of $130,170.58

Ayes: Rhode, Catalano, Bischer.

9:00 a.m.  Bid Opening – Annual Financial Audit

A motion was approved awarding low bid to Berthiaume & Company.

Supt./Mgr Report: 

• Beams were set on the 489 bridge last week and bridge construction is on schedule.

• State salt has been delivered and trucks are prepared for winter maintenance.

• Supt./Mgr Smigelski informed Board of beaver dam issue at the Rainy Bridge.

New Business:

otion was approved to adopt amendments to the 2015 Budget for 3^rd quarter as presented by Clerk Wirgau.

Motions were approved adopting the 2015-16 Foreman Overtime policy and allowing expenses for Commissioners and Supt./Mgr to attend a Road Funding Workshop in Mt. Pleasant on December 8, 2015.

A motion was approved setting the November meetings as November 2, 2015 and November 23, 2015 and December meetings as December 14, 2015 and December 28, 2015 at 8:30 a.m.

There being no further business it was moved by Rhode (Catalano) to adjourn the meeting at 10:55 a.m.
