Hurons to face Engadine in regional semifinal

With great fan support, Rogers City was able to defeat Onaway, a final four team in 2012 and 2014 in five close sets. The Hurons go on to play Engadine in the Mackinaw City regional Tuesday in the second match of the night. Engadine defeated Rudyard 3-1 and Newberry 3-2 to win its district in Newberry.

Pellston plays DeTour in the 6 p.m. match with the winners squaring off Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. for the right to move on to the quarterfinal round in Manistique Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. Pellson defeated Alanson 3-0 and Harbor Light 3-0 to win its home district. DeTour topped Cedarville 3-0 and Brimley 3-2 in its district tournament at Pickford.

Teams in that regional include Stephenson, Lake Linden-Hubbell, Crystal Falls Forest Park and Munising.
