Meeting Minutes
A regular monthly meeting of the Board of Education of the Posen Consolidated School District No. 9 was held Monday, September 21, 2015 in the High School Library. President Kenneth Wozniak called the board meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
Members Present: Andrew Stone, Dennis Budnick, Danielle Kowalski, Anna Soik, Jesse Chappa and Brian Konieczny.
Members Absent: Kenneth Wozniak.
Also Present: John Palmer, Superintendent/Principal and Alletta Misiak, Recording Secretary.
Visitors: Two.
Moved and supported to approve the minutes of the regular monthly meeting of August 17, 2015.
Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion Carried.
Moved and supported to approve the bills for the 2015-2016 school year.
Motion passed by a roll call vote: Ayes: All.
Old Business
Portable Classroom Board will decide at the October meeting what we will do with the building.
Moved and supported to accept the bid from Chappa Construction for $400 for the van. We did receive two bids on the school van.

Administrator’s Report
Congratulations to Posen High School for receiving no negative official reports for the 2014/2015 school year.
Board Workshop at Cheboygan Otsego Presque Isle Education/Service District (COP-ESD), October 15 at 5:30 p.m.
New Business
Moved and supported to grant MaryAnn Zakshesky a 90-day leave of absence.

Discussed the School Safety Information Policy Agreement for Posen Consolidated School District No. 9 and this will be considered the first reading of the policy.
Moved and supported to accept the 2005 Chevy Van from COP-ESD for $1.

We will be interviewing applicants for the Superintendent/Principal position starting Thursday, October 1 two of them and Monday, October 5 three of them we had 19 applicants.

Information Items
Discussion on eliminating the Trip Clubs for the upcoming years starting with this Freshman Class. Board should bring back opinions for the November Board Meeting.
