Harriet VanDusen
Harriet VanDusen, 95, of Alpena passed away peacefully Saturday, October 3, 2015 surrounded by her family.
Harriet was born August 21, 1920 to the late Francis and Frances (Skrownek) Mulka in Rogers City.
She is survived by her two sons, Joe (Donna) VanDusen of Rogers City and Tom (Kathy) VanDusen of Muskegon; two daughters, Julie (Ed) Scott of Ossineke and Gerrie (Tom) LaCross of Alpena; 23 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; a brother, Julian (Carl) Mulka of Posen; and four sisters, Bernice Romel of Rogers City, Janet Sherrin of Rochester Hills, Theresa (Ken) Barton of Owosso and Evelyn (Bernard) Johnson of California.
Visitation was Tuesday at the Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home Tuesday, October 6, with a Rosary Society service and parish prayer service officiated by the Rev. Polycarp Mblarawa. Visitation continued Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church until the time of Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Joseph Muszkiewicz officiating.
Interment was at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to All Saints School or St. Vincent DePaul in memory of Harriet.
