Meeting Minutes
A regular monthly meeting of the Board of Education of the Posen Consolidated School District No. 9 was held Monday, Aug. 17, 2015 in the High School Library. Vice President Andrew Stone called the board meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
Members Present: Andrew Stone, Dennis Budnick, Danielle Kowalski, Anna Soik, Jesse Chappa and Brian Konieczny.
Members Absent: Kenneth Wozniak.
Also Present: John Palmer, superintendent/principal and Alletta Misiak, recording secretary.
Visitors: Two.
Moved and supported to approve the minutes of the regular monthly meeting of July 20, 2015.
Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion Carried.
Moved and supported to approve the bills for the 2015-2016 school year.
Motion passed by a roll call vote: Ayes: All.
Old Business
Portable Classroom Board will decide at the September meeting what we will do with the building. Building updates are moving along all inside work will be done before school starts.
No pre-school program here at Posen School, COP-ESD (Cheboygan-Otsego-Presque Isle Educational Service District) did not get the funding.
Administrator’s Report
Moved and supported to hire Ms. Austin Sharpe to coach the JV (junior varsity) Volleyball team.

Moved and supported to accept the resignation of Hannah Pontius as Class of 2016 Trip Club Advisor.
Motion passed by a roll call vote: Ayes: All.
New Business
Moved and supported to approve the painting job done by R.K. Painting in our kitchen, hallway and lobby area.
Motion passed by a roll call vote: Ayes: All
Moved and supported to accept the bid from Stanley Steemer on the carpet cleaning the job will be done Aug. 31.
Motion passed by a roll call vote: Ayes: All.
The Policy Committee made updates to the Student Handbook, Breakfast and Lunch Program meals must be eaten in the cafeteria or commons area by the gym. If a student is leaving the school grounds they must check out before departing and check in if arriving late. When the bell rings student must be in their assigned seat. If students are on the gym floor during noon hour they must have tennis shoes on no street shoes in the new gym floor area. Students must dress approp

Students first day of class will be Tuesday, Sept. 8.
