Margaret Maxine Freel

Margaret Maxine Freel, 91, of The Harbors, Menominee/Millersburg, died Saturday, August 29, 2015, at the Aurora Bay Care Hospital, Green Bay, Wisconsin, following a brief illness.

Mrs. Freel was born August 14, 1924, in Iron Mountain, the daughter of Edmund and Alice (Chapman) Crawford.

She is survived by her husband and their four children, Toni Cummings, Kingsford, Dr. A. Dale (Sheri) Freel, Gladstone, Rebecca (Randy) Walter, Gladstone and Vicki (Alex “Buzz”) Long, Menominee; seven grandchildren, Michelle (Tony) Zambon,

Canton, Emily  Cummings, Kingsford, Scott (Michelle) Freel, Gladstone, Bryan Freel, Fon du Lac, Wisconsin, Randall “R.J.” (Lisa) Walter, Negaunee, Raegen Walter, Quinnesec and Mandi  (Brian) Zemba, Grandville; 11 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Bruce Crawford, of Kalkaska.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today (Thursday, September 3) at the Chagnon Funeral Home in Onaway. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, September 4, at the Millersburg Methodist Church with the Rev. Carmen Cook officiating. Mrs. Freel’s final resting place will be at Riverside Cemetery in Millersburg.
