Irene Augusta Fleming

Irene Augusta Fleming, 88, of Belknap Township passed away September 3, 2015 at Alpena Regional Medical Center while surrounded by her loving family.

She was born April 17, 1927 in Metz Township to Richard and Lucia (Dost) Schwiesow.

Mrs. Fleming is survived by seven children, Leonard (Sandy Ostrowski) of Hawks, Neil (Jeanette) of Posen, Mark (Nannette) of Rogers City, Esther (Rickie) Kindt of Ossineke, Susan (Sam) Krey of Alpena, Dale (Sue Robison) of Hawks and Joel (Amy) of Hawks; 19 grandchildren, Earlene, Jeremy, Courtney, Heidi, Joshua, Amanda, Lindsay, Ashley, Erica, Tony, Chad, Mike, Rickie Jr., Kendra, Jennifer, Jonathan, April, Nicole and Nathan; 29 great-grandchildren; a brother, Harry (Joyce) Schwiesow of Hawks; and a sister-in-law, Marie Schwiesow of Metz.

Visitation was at the Beck Funeral Home Sunday with a prayer service that evening. Visitation resumed Monday at St. Michael Lutheran Church through time of service at with the Rev. Keith Schneider officiating.
