Harold Russell Paulus
Harold Russell Paulus, 84, longtime resident of Onaway, died at home Saturday September 5, 2015. The son of Russell and Clara (Selner) Paulus, Harold was born in Elkhart, Indiana July 30, 1931 and moved to Onaway when he was about 14 years old.
Surviving Harold is his son, Steve (Jan) Paulus of Au Train; daughters, Sally (Gary) Tennant of Rudyard and Dolly (Barry) Streeter of Chesterfield, Missouri; brother, Ken (Blanche) Paulus of Onaway; as well as 16 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held at the Chagnon Funeral Home Monday, September 7, with the funeral service being held at the funeral home Tuesday with Reginald Hitchcock officiating. Harold’s final resting place is at Hillcrest Cemetery where the Onaway Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5857 will have military honors following the funeral service.
