Westminster stained glass window shines to the glory of God

Willet Hauser Company of Minnesota recently completed a new stained glass window in the sanctuary at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Rogers City. The window portrays Christ in a garden with children and bears the inscribed Christ statement from Luke and Matthew that Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the children come to me.” Donated by Art and Beth Getzinger, the window is dedicated to Andrew and Jay Getzinger.

Window restoration work has been on going at the church. Last year, the large rose-themed stained glass front window was renovated and weather proofed. Similar work will be done on all the church windows, including the historic “Bradley Window” depicting Christ with Peter and Matthew and bearing the inscription “Come unto to me all ye that labor, and I will give you rest” from Matthew 11:28. In memory of Calcite owner Carl D. Bradley, his family donated the sanctuary window to the church in 1928.
