July 6, 2015
The regular meeting of the Board of Road Commissioners for Presque Isle County was held at the Road Commission office at 657 South Bradley, Rogers City, Michigan. Chairman Ronald Bischer called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m.
Board Members Present: Ronald Bischer, Thomas Catalano, Charles Rhode
Also Present: Supt/Mgr. Smigelski, Clerk Wirgau, Employee Association Representatives Russell Martin, Richard Lenard

Minutes:
A motion was approved to accept minutes from June 15, 2015 meeting as presented.
Ayes: All
Accounts Payable:
Motion by Catalano (Rhode) to approve the accounts payable in the amount of $147,413.24.
Ayes: Rhode, Catalano, Bischer
A motion was approved to enter executive session for the purpose of discussing employee negotiations. 9:25 a.m.
Ayes: Bischer, Catalano, Rhode
Chairman Bischer declared the meeting open to the public at 10:23 a.m. and Employee Association representative left the meeting.
Supt./Mgr Report:
• The Onaway crew is planning on installing the Roost Road culvert later this month. The road will be closed for four or five days and notice will be published in the newspaper prior to closing the road.
• Supt./Mgr attended a special Pulawski Township meeting to answer questions regarding maintenance and construction.
• Supt./Mgr will be attending the Krakow Township meeting on July 14, 2015.
• An update on Federal Aid funding was given by Supt./Mgr Smigelski. The E. 634 Highway project has been fully funded with bid opening to be held Friday, July 10, 2015.
• Bid opening for the 489 Bridge over the Rainy River reconstruction project is scheduled for July 10, 2015.
• There will be a MTA Meeting held Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 7:00 pm at the Moltke Township Hall.
• Federal Aid eligible road PASER Ratings were conducted two weeks ago. The Michigan Transportation Asset management Council has denied a request to fund local road hard surface ratings for 2015.
Unfinished Business:
The 2014 audit was discussed briefly.
New Business:
Resolutions 2015-3 and 2015-4 were adopted to enter Michigan
A motion was approved authorizing expenses for Clerk to attend half day training for Investment Reporting Tool software.

A motion was approved to advertise for asphalt bids for upcoming township projects.

The next regular scheduled meetings are Monday, July 20, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. and Monday, August 3, 2015 at 8:30 a.m.
There being no further business it was moved by Rhode (Catalano) to adjourn the meeting at 11:07 a.m.
