Fleming, Quaine, Badgero softball all-stars at CMU game

Rogers City was well represented at this year’s Division 4 high school all-star game at Central Michigan University last Wednesday. The three players from the county included Logan Fleming and Alexa Quaine from Rogers City and Morganne Badgero from Onaway. All three graduated from high school this year.

The county also was represented in the coaching ranks as Huron mentor Karl Grambau helped guide the team.

He said that the all-star game was a great experience.

“It was an honor to have the opportunity to represent Rogers City as one of the coaches for the red team in Division 4 along with the coach from Unionville Sebawaing Area, this year’s state champions.” Grambau said.

Fleming was presented the Miss Softball position player award for Division 4 during the game capping an unbelieveable career for Fleming.

It was Grambau’s last chance to turn in a lineup card with Fleming batting leadoff. In the all-star game Fleming hit the ball hard every at bat and she had a sacrifice fly for an RBI. She played third base the first four innings and then later played right field and second base. She will play next year at Ferris State University.
