Mariana Warren
Mariana Warren died May 29, 2015 at the age of 100 plus 9 months, after a long and fulfilling life. Absent from the body…present with the Lord. II Cor 5:8.
Mariana was a spirited lass of Danish descent, her father having immigrated from Denmark as did her maternal grandmother. She was born in August of 1914 to Hans and Tyra (Andersen) Thomsen on their farm just east of Pentwater. Her father Hans died at the age of 44 when Mariana was just 2 years old.
She is survived by her son, Jon Warren (retired), wife Cheryl, and granddog Snickers of Milwaukie, Oregon; her grandson, Michael Ray Warren, wife Julia, and great-granddog Gryffindor of Milwaukie, Oregon; and her daughter, Serena Warren, Roger Waldron, and granddog Cinnamon of Petoskey.
Mariana’s family asks those wishing to honor her memory do so by visiting an elderly person at home or at a care facility. You don’t have to stay long, 15 minutes is long enough (Ma said).

Mariana’s family plans to celebrate her life with a family gathering later this summer. She will be interred within Hillcrest Cemetery next to her husband Ray.
