Marjorie S. O’Brien
Marjorie S. O’Brien, 76, of Ohio, formerly of Flint, died April 27, 2015. Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday, May 4, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, G-3139 Hogarth Ave., Flint.
The Rev. Robert Copeland was celebrant. Burial followed at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation was held Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek and Monday until the time of Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the North End Soup Kitchen or St. Pius X Catholic School.
Marjorie was born June 2, 1938 in Rogers City, the daughter of James Norman and Emily (Szala) McDonald.
Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (Douglas) Sweet of London, Ohio, and Terrie Stoddard and Joseph Luckhardt (significant other) of Flint; grandchildren, Matthew and Marina Sweet, and Megan and Justin Stoddard; great-grandchildren, Reese and Logan Kawa; brothers, James (Jeanne) McDonald and Keith (Beverly) McDonald; brother-in-law, Thomas (Connie) O’Brien; sister-in-law, Barbara (Donald) Quick; and several nieces and nephews.
