Undefeated Hillman fell twice to the defending state champions, 7-2 and 15-0. Logan Fleming ended the second game with a three-run homer to mercy the visiting Tigers. She also homered in the first game.

On the baseball side, Casey Szatkowski’s three-run homer capped a four-run last inning rally in a 4-3 win for Rogers City. Szatkowski also started a rare triple play in the second game. With runners on second and third, he snared a line drive, stepped on the bag at third for the second out, and fired to Tristan Baller at second base for the third out. Rogers City lost the second game 7-2.

Both teams are in action Monday at Atlanta.
