Delbert A. Dungey Sr.

Delbert A. Dungey Sr., 83, of Beaverton, formerly of Saginaw, died at Horizon Senior Living in Standish Sunday, January 4, 2015.

The son of Ralph and Lucille (Kusion) Dungey, Delbert was born December 10, 1931 in Saginaw, where he graduated from Arthur Hill High School and lived for most of his life.

Surviving Delbert are his daughter, Tina Dungey of Ypsilanti; his son, Delbert “Andy” Dungey Jr. of Wayland; a grandson, Cameron Polk Dungey of Portage; and two half brothers, Morris and Frank Shimel, both of Onaway. Delbert was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph “Sonny” Dungey; two sisters, Delores “Dolly” Harrison and Maureen Dungey; father, Ralph Dungey Sr.; and mother and stepfather, Lucille and Charles Shimel.

Visitation will be held at the Chagnon Funeral Home in Onaway Friday, January 9, 2015 from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. The Rev. James Brabson will officiate.

Delbert’s final resting will be in Tower at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
