Chester “Chet” Szymanski

Chester “Chet” Szymanski, 71, of Rogers City passed away peacefully at Rogers City Tendercare December 2, 2014 following a short illness.

He was born November 9, 1943 in Rogers City to Chester and Martha (Siecinski) Szymanski.

Mr. Szymanski is survived by two brothers, David (Karen) of Long Lake and Kenny of Rogers City; three sisters, Linda (Jim) DeWyre of Alpena, Cynthia of Rogers City and Marcia (Richard) Wirgau of Alpena; nine nieces and nephews; and 18 great-nieces and-nephews.  Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home Friday from 3 until 8 p.m. with rosary at 6:30 p.m. followed by the parish wake service at 7 p.m.  Visitation will continue at the funeral home Saturday from 9 until 9:30 a.m.  The Rev. Sylvestre Obwaka will celebrate Mass of Resurrection at St. Ignatius Catholic Church Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
