Edwin John Przybyla
Edwin “Ed” John Przybyla, 87, of Rogers City passed away November 12, 2014 at Rogers City Tendercare. He was born March 2, 1927 in Posen to Anthony Joseph and Anna (Romel) Przybyla Sr.
Ed is survived by six children, Rose Przybyla of Rogers City, Melissa Przybyla of Rogers City, Brenda (Malcolm) Lamp of Rogers City, Michael (Karen) Kowalski of Rogers City, Mary (Paul) Knudsen of Beulah and Patricia (Pat) Schaub of Interlochen; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; seven siblings, Rita Rotta, Laurie (Bob) Ross, Dennis (Janet) Przybyla, Brother Julian Przybyla, Anthony (Mary) Przybyla Jr., Anne Przybyla and Jimmy (Carol) Przybyla.
Visitation was at the Beck Funeral Home Thursday where the 3rd Degree Knights led the rosary followed by the parish wake service with the Rev. Gerald Okoli officiating. Visitation resumed at St. Ignatius Catholic Church Friday through time of Mass with the Rev. Gerald Okoli officiating. Rogers City Veterans of Foreign Wars Post accorded military honors immediately following mass. Interment took place at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Ignatius Catholic School, the St. Ignatius Window Fund or Hospice of the Sunrise Shore in memory of Edwin Przybyla.
