World premiere of brand new musical at Rogers City Theater

We’ve got a world premiere – right here – in Rogers City. “Curtain Call: The Musical,” a brand new youth musical, by playwright Maggie Gautier, opens today (Thursday) at 7:30 p.m. at the Rogers City Theater.

“Curtain Call: The Musical” is the story of students and their teachers who come together to stage a play.

This family friendly production starts with auditions and ends with opening night.

We follow the cast as they experience the triumphs and trials of putting on a play. This is the second youth musical penned by Maggie, and she has written many other plays and one-woman shows.

A few highlights include “A Little More of Me” that explores the thoughts that go through an actor’s mind as they prepare to audition.

“Sometimes” that explores the changes the characters are going through as they wait to find out who got what roles, the excitement of finding out who they’ll play in “I Got a Line,” the disappointment of not landing an anticipated role in “A Part to Play,” taking chances in “Willingness for Silliness,” the need for cooperation in “I Alone Can Do It,” and the culmination of their efforts in “One Thing Leads to Another.”

The cast includes (in order of appearance): Linnea Hentkowski as Molly, Chloe Schultz as Margie, Elle Bredow as Morgan, Kristin Hayden as Kat, Hayden Hentkowski as Rob, Baylee Lijewski as Mary, Margaret Bastian as Sophia, Aaron Smith as Andrew, Andrew Bruski as Chris, Emalynn Riddle as Kylee, Jacob Bruski as Stitch, Erica Jumper as Becky, Madison Tulgetska as Susan, Mckenzie Bruning as Rylie, Ashley Nowicki as Mrs. Collins, Elaina Madison as Miss Natalie, Mikaela Bannon as Miss Mathews, Salena Heidemann as Miss Albertson, Mataya Hanson as Sarah, Angelee Piechan as Krista, Nicolai Pastuszak as Dennis, Ashley Bunton as Ashley, Izabelle Laughran as Amy, Chloe Hentkowski as Katie, Peggy White as Ann, Muriel Garms as Suzanne, Jadyn Hanson as Maureen, Carlee Selke as Pat, and Trenton McCormack as Toby.
