Gertrude Purol, 95, of Posen passed away July 1, 2014, at Alpena Regional Medical Center.

The daughter of Ignatius and Anna (Szczerowski) Wisniewski was born January 25, 1919 in Posen. She married Louis C. Purol August 31, 1940 at St. Casimir Catholic Church, together they lived and raised three daughters in Posen.

Surviving are her three daughters, Monica (David) Ford of New Jersey, Evelyn (David) Glomski of Alpena and Diane (Douglas) Bloom of Bloomfield Hills; nine grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be today (Thursday, July 3) at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Posen from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral Mass with the Rev. Stan Bereda officiating. Burial will be immediately following at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are in care of Hentkowski Funeral Home.
