Wilma W. Wahlers, 81, a lifelong resident of Tower/Onaway died Monday June 2, 2014 at Tendercare Health Center in Rogers City. The daughter of Archie and Martha (Sands) Whitman, Wilma was born in Tower March 28, 1933. She married David Wahlers August 8, 1962 in Onaway.

Surviving Wilma are her husband of 52 years, David Wahlers of Onaway; her sister, Edna Hillis of Onaway; and many nieces and nephews. Wilma was preceded in death by her brothers, Oscar and Hayden Whitman.

Visitation will be held at the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ, 21045 M-68 Hwy. Friday, June 6, 2014 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service beginning at noon. Elder Denise Pauly and Elder Faye Barrette will officiate. Wilma’s final resting place will be in Tower at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
