Merl D. Auger

Merl D. Auger, 81, of Tower, died at Golden Beach Manor in Millersburg Sunday, March 23, 2014. The son of Richard and Flora (Fitch) Auger, Merl was born in Ocqueoc Township on March 22, 1933. He married Sylvia Sue Walters on November 7, 1970.

Surviving Merl are his daughter, Marsha Anderson of Utah; his son, Michael Auger of Lapeer; brother, Ivan Auger of Millersburg; and grandson, Don (Nichole) Fenstermaker and their family of Afton. He also leaves stepsons Duane Walters and Christopher Bidwell of Cheboygan, Richard and Howard Bidwell of Millersburg and Harold Bidwell of Tower; stepdaughters Helen Mearing of Indiana and Jennette Wesley of Afton; and many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
