Louis John Wekwert
Louis John Wekwert, 91, of Posen, passed away December 13, 2013 at Alpena Regional Medical Center with his loving family at his side.
He was born January 6, 1922 in Posen to George and Josephine (Helinski) Wekwert.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Terese; four children, Greg (Diane) of Perry, Cyndi (Keith) Adams of Rogers City, Raphael of Portage and Mike (Pam) of Saginaw; five grandchildren, Jamie (Bobbiesue) Adams, Jenny Adams, Rick Adams, Amanda Wekwert and Megan Wekwert; eight great-grandchildren, Ashley, Emma, Aubrey, Holden, Zoelle, Adam, Alex and Amber; and a great-great grandson, Andrew.
Visitation was at the Beck Funeral Home Wednesday from 4 until 8 p.m. where the Posen third degree Knights of Columbus Council 6657 led the rosary at 6:30 p.m. followed by the parish wake service at 7 p.m.
Visitation will continue today (Thursday) at St. Casimir Catholic Church from 10 a.m. through time of Mass at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Arthur Duchnowicz officiating.
Interment will take place at the St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be given in memory of Louis Wekwert to a charity of friend’s choice or St. Casimir Catholic Church.
