Ruth I. McManemy, 83, of Mt. Clemens, formerly of Onaway, died Saturday, September 21, 2013 in Mt. Clemens at the Martha T. Berry Medical Care Facility. The daughter of Henry and Elda (Mikkelsen) Johnson, Ruth was born in Roseville March 19, 1930. She married Elmer McManemy July 25, 1947.

Surviving Ruth are three sons, Jeff (Susan) McManemy of Onaway, Mike (Dee) McManemy of Roseville and Mark (Karen) McManemy of Wolverine; a daughter, Sally (Pat) O’Dell of Sterling Heights; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; her brother, Jim Johnson of Harrison; several other siblings; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Chagnon Funeral Home today (Friday) from 4– 7 p.m. The funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Elder Harry Hyde will officiate. Ruth’s final resting place will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Tower.
