Thomas A. Grawey, 81, of Sault Ste. Marie, Canada and formerly of Levering passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013 in Sault St. Marie. He was born November 21, 1931 in Alpena to Arthur and Pearl (Gagnon) Grawey Sr. On December 3, 1950 in Alpena, Tom married Louella Ohlrich.
Survivors include his wife, Louella, of Sault Ste. Marie; seven children, Gary (Kathy) of Alpena, Linda McLeod of Linwood, Karen (Gilbert) Bohn of
Levering, Ed and Rick, both of Arizona, and Randy and Greg, both of Sault Ste. Marie; one brother, Art Jr.; one sister, Joanne Hickey; nine grandchildren; and several great- and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Larry; and one granddaughter, Jessica Grawey. The funeral service was Wednesday, February 27, at the Nordman-Christian Funeral Home with the family greeting friends one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Paul Megge officiated and burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in the spring. Memorial contributions in Tom’s name may be directed to the family.
