Shorthanded OHS girls improve to 4-2 with win against I Lakes

The Onaway High School varsity girls’ basketball team improved to 4-2 (2-2 Ski Valley Conference) Friday when it earned a hard-fought 36-31 victory over visiting Inland Lakes.

The Cardinals persevered behind their usual tenacious defense. Onaway led 8-6 after one period, trailed 16-15 at the half, and led 25-20 through three quarters, before holding on late.
